Martha Stilwell

HISTORY
Martha Ellen Stilwell was an influential pioneer of the arts. She was an educator in the Clayton County School System and the school district's first Fine Arts Coordinator. She originated the now-internationally renowned Spivey Hall Children's Choir. The work of Martha E. Stilwell continues to promote excellence in academic growth and social development.

 
PRESENT
Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts opened its doors in August 2014 to provide arts-focused education. Built to meet the needs of a rapidly growing fine arts community, this state-of-the-art facility is home to grades 9-12 students with an enrollment of approximately 650. The distinguished faculty and staff have been assembled carefully to serve the unique school community. Stilwell students experience a top-notch fine arts education from industry professionals along with quality academic excellence. Stilwell is consistently ranked among the US and World News Reports top-ranked Georgia schools, in addition to being ranked highly among National schools. The parents, artists (students), and staff of Stilwell seek to build a world-class school that is internationally competitive in the arts and academics. Our school facility prepares young artists for the demands of the 21st century and beyond.
