1. 2024 GHSA One Act Play State Champions
Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts advanced to the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Class A Division II One-Act Play State Competition, Stilwell brought home its first-ever One-Act Play State championship.
2. Georgia All State Art Show
Please join the art department in congratulating Bailey Liggins and Alexis Grace on their selection to the Georgia All State Art Show. The best 53 works of all media from across Georgia were invited to show their work at Piedmont University this past Friday, February 28th. Alexis Grace's photo won an Honorable Mention putting her work in the top 9 pieces shown! We're very proud of their hard work.
3. Dance State Champions 2025
Stilwell Varsity Dance Team from Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts for winning the 2025 Georgia High School Association (GHSA) State Dance Championship.

5. Morrow Film Festival
Zynia won 1st place in the Legacy Category for her short film "Dark Corners" follows the character Asha, a high-school student as navigates mental health challenges and embraces an unlikely solution to her problem.
Mackenzie won 1st place in the Rising Star Category for her short film "Guardians of the Hidden Treasure" follows five students who receive a flyer from an anonymous sender, promising a fortune in cash, their curiosity and neediness overcome them.
We are so proud of these young ladies who wrote, edited, and directed these award winning pieces. Both of their films, along with the runner-up production "The Babysitter" directed by Stilwell Junior - Austin Mahaffey, were are showcased on the big screen at AMC Theaters on Mt. Zion Parkway on March 14th.
6. Stilwell Sophomore Earns National Gold Medal
Congratulations to Chandaranita Phe for earning the National Scholastic Art and
Writing Awards Gold Medalist. Nita won in the Photography Category for her entry, The Silent Watcher. Nita and her teacher, Mr. Jeremy LeMahieu, are now invited to display her work and attend the awards ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York on June 11th.
7. Congratulations to Our Gates Scholarship Recipient!
We are thrilled to announce that Kaiya Evans and Janieya McNeil, seniors at Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts, have been awarded the prestigious Gates Scholarship!
The Gates Scholarship is a highly selective, full scholarship awarded to outstanding, minority high school seniors from across the United States. This honor is a testament to Kaiya and Janieya’s exceptional academic achievements, leadership, and unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on their community.
Only 750 students were selected this year out of 48,000 applicants nationwide, and we are incredibly proud that Kaiya and Janieya are among them.
Please join us in congratulating Kaiya and Janieya on this extraordinary accomplishment. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things they will accomplish in the future!
