Durand Bernarr Brings Industry Insight to Stilwell School of the Arts

Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts recently welcomed acclaimed singer, songwriter, and performer Durand Bernarr for a special on-campus visit on December 18. Bernarr engaged students in an impactful industry talk-back focused on artistry, authenticity, and navigating the music industry, offering candid insights from his own professional journey.

Students received firsthand advice on vocal excellence, creative integrity, networking, and building a sustainable artistic career. School leaders shared that Bernarr’s transparency and passion left a lasting impression and aligned strongly with Stilwell’s mission to prepare students for real-world success in the arts.

We are pleased to announce HUGE results in this year’s Scholastic Art and Writing competition at the state level. Stilwell had 131 works of art recognized. The most by any school in Georgia. By a lot!

Stilwell Visual Art students earned:

41 Silver medals

62 Honorable Mentions
