Greetings Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts Parents and Guardians,

The beginning of the 2024-2025 school year is near! Your Stilwell administration, faculty, and staff are hard at work ensuring that we have a successful Grand Opening on August 1, 2024. You will find updates and reminders listed below. Please make note of them as you prepare to join us for another successful school year.

 

Save the Date

  • Rising 9th Grade Information/Summer Bridge: We are offering an opportunity for all incoming artists to spend a day in the Stallion Stable before the official school year begins through our Stilwell Summer Bridge Experience. The Summer Bridge Program will be on Thursday, July 25th, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Please register your artist(s) using the following link: Class of 2028 Summer Bridge

  • Back to School Celebration: The CCPS Annual Back to School Celebration will take place on Saturday, July 27th from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Mt. Zion High School.

  • Open House/Parent Meet & Greet: The 2024-2025 Open House/Parent Meet & Greet is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31st from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

  • Senior Parents: Join us on Thursday, August 1st at 9:00am for our Class of 2025 Final First Day of High School Parade.

Updates and Reminders

  • School Hours: The school day is from 8:15 am – 3:15 pm.

  • Late Arrivals: Artists arriving at school after 8:20 am must be signed in by a parent/guardian.

  • Drop-off and Pick-up: Artists are not allowed on campus prior to 7:50 am and must be picked up by 3:45 pm daily.

  • Breakfast: Breakfast is from 7:50 am - 8:10 am.

  • Checkout Policy: No checkouts will be granted after 2:45 pm.

  • Dress Code: High School students are not required to wear a school assigned uniform. However, artists must dress appropriately and adhere to the MESSOTA and CCPS Dress Code Policy.

  • Clear Bookbags: Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) is continuing with its clear book bags only mandate for the 2024-25 school year. The district will not provide clear book bags to all students. Parents/guardians are required to purchase clear book bags for their students.

  • Infinite Campus Parent Portal: To monitor your artist's attendance and grades, we encourage you to enroll in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you need information regarding how to set up your Parent Portal account, please contact our parent liaison Sherronda Varnado at sherronda.varnado@clayton.k12.ga.us for assistance.
